Budget Bermuda Triangle

Playing Bermuda Triangle always has a downside: The cost. Melody build run many VRs, which is not accessible for everyone. Nonetheless, you still can go fishing in your poor pants.
Budget Bermuda Triangle deck run no VRs. It doesn’t mean your deck is weaker. Moreover, with the freedom of running no “Colorful Pastorale, Caro”, the budget variant abuses good G1 units, pluses like no tomorrow. This leads to a very aggressive playstyle, trade ultilities for weaker (not really) columns.

The deck focuses on swamping the field and creates a full field to gain max power. Constantly calling every turns is required. It means you have to lose units every turn. Generally you can intercept with G2s, and people gonna remove some units for you as soon as they heard about “5 rears requirement”, so removing some units on a full board is the least problem you have to deal with.

Warning: This deck is just temporary budget-friendly. If you are pursuing Bermuda Triangle as your main clan, you should be well aware of the fishing rod’s cost

Pros:

  • Can create big columns (>33k)
  • Plus like no tomorrow
  • Can recover after boardwipe

(Sonata can only grab one Melody unit per turn, Melody without Caro is not very threatening)

Cons:

  • 3 columns doesn’t get big consistently. Sometimes big columns have to swing 1st
  • Certain card requires certain setup. The girls are simple enough to understand, but to gain maximum harmony, you need practice to pilot this deck well
  • CB-intensive. This punishes early rush, but in the same time may create a noobtrap, trick you into taking too much damage early. The deck has build-in ways to deal with this problem, so resources management skill is needed
  • No finisher. You have a very strong early and mid game, but have no auto-win button to close game

One of two bosses of the deck. Constant +20k on vanguard circle can rival common melody setup (1 Sonata and 1 Caro), and 1 card she draws is what melody deck lacks. Note that her 5k power boost is not always applied (if you don’t call).

The other boss of the deck. Getting big by herself even on Vanguard circle and doesn’t use any CB. Nasty surprise for people who tries to limit your CB-usage. Be careful with her, as she required a full field to get her power boost, which limits usage of some G1.

With the recent banlist, Liselotte is no longer available in Melody build. With this build, she is the heart and soul of the deck. She provides addition units, and even soul charge when needed.

Draw power, and 5k power boost is pretty nice. The down side of her is 9k power, so you can use her to intercept right after. Note that the draw effect only applied if you called an unit beforehand.

Tricky to use. Most of the time you want to use her when you already have rear with the same name as your vanguard. Sometimes you just want 3 triggers return to deck to increase the chance of checking them. Run all x4 G2 maximize the chance of not neg yourself to oblivion with her effect.

Her power boost is really nice, +2k means she will hit G2 vanguard by herself and creat magical number columns with any 8k boosters. Rush tool early, always swing her before vanguard, or you can even boost vanguard with her to force more shield from opponent. Her on-hit effect is not easy to deal with, so you should avoid using her to ride if you can.

Mainly here for lewd purpose boost. 10k if you called an unit beforehand. If survived, she becomes 13k booster with a full field, creates magical number columns with any 10k power G2.

Turn early bricky G3 from your hand into 2 cards, recycle your G3 in grave, or just trade herself for another card. She even removes herself from the field, so you can call fresh units next turn if needed.

+10k power to the field is lethal mid to lategame, and a draw is always nice. Only her and Enes use soul, and you have Liselotte to soul charge if needed, so you only need 2 copies and manage your soul well.

Plan ahead and manage your CB well. She allows you to play if your opponent decides to limit your CB. CB in need is a game-changer indeed.

Honorable mentions

Combo well with Rainy Tear, Stezza (change G3 for new card, then recycle that g3 for more cards). This deck only run 8 G3 for better G1/2/3 ratio (less g-assist needed), so the situation comes up less often. OK card to run in Melody build

On-hit pressure is nice, but she has no power to back it up.

Note:

Normally you should stack Force I on a single circle, so you can get 3 consistently big columns: G3 vanguards are always big by their effect, Amie can hit for 28k herself with full field, the last column should be like 18k+ Gift Marker). Force II is ok, but not recommended because without Force I you cannot have consistently 3 big columns. Sometimes, small column can be used to swing over annoying rears.

Gameplan is similar to Melody, just rush your opponent early to push tempo and gain advantage this way until midgame. The deck generates enough draw to survive boardwipe and early rush. By the time you get there most protect deck already run out of steam and you should crush them by 3 big columns while generate pluses. Beware of OTT, Angel Feather and Genesis, as they can deck you out if not careful.
